Nice to meet you...

This is a sincere note about me.

I don’t know how many people will visit this page, but for those who do—welcome 🙂

My journey as a user experience designer actually started during my bachelor’s degree. I studied industrial design, but at that time I focused more on the user experience of physical products. It’s different from digital products, but the core is the same—caring about people and helping them use products better. That’s what sparked my passion.

Later, during my master’s degree, I switched to digital products, an area I found even more interesting because I’m also a tech girl. Thanks to this experience, I built a solid knowledge base in user experience design. Most of my university projects covered the entire process, from user research to prototyping, always following a structured and solid design approach.

For professional experience, I began my career in an Italian agency, where I worked as part of a UI/UX team. I focused on improving the user experience of both digital and hardware products, such as medical robots, coffee machines, and cooking devices. Working in an agency taught me the standard processes in this industry.

Later, when I returned to university for my master’s, I decided not to collaborate with a company because I wanted to dive into a topic of my own interest. That was during the boom of generative AI. This research became my master’s thesis, conducted during the rapid rise of AI, when discussions about it became widespread. As a UX designer, many friends and colleagues in creative industries told me they felt pressured to use AI. Our conversations inspired my thesis topic, which I found fascinating. For me, it wasn’t just about exploring new technology—it reminded me why I chose interaction design in the first place: “My true passion lies in using interaction design to bridge the gap between technology and humanity.”

Meanwhile, I also looked for opportunities to gain more practical experience. I was lucky to meet amazing people who gave me chances to grow. One of them was an experienced product manager who had seen my university project on cycling. She invited me to be the UX designer for the Kameleo project. It was my first time leading UX design in a B2B project. Although the team already had some work done before I joined, it was still a challenging experience. Over six months, I grew a lot—learning how to deliver proper files to developers, collaborate with a diverse team, and understand B2B products. We later collaborated again on a recruitment platform project. Despite my limited experience at that time, she trusted me because of my attitude, fast learning, and the quality of my work.

By the end of my master’s degree, I completed my thesis and graduated with honors in Italy (111/110). This experience, especially diving into AI, opened new opportunities. After a short break, I joined two AI startups: one focused on B2B/B2G, helping local councils improve productivity, and the other focused on B2B for small businesses (and partially B2C), building AI agents and automation platforms. I’ve been working with them ever since.

So that’s basically me.

Out of Work

Even though I said I’m a tech girl, outside of work I’m completely nature-oriented. Maybe that’s because I grew up in Beijing, one of the largest cities in the world, studied in Shanghai, the second largest city in China, and later moved to Milan which isn’t exactly a big city, but still a city. I didn’t get many chances to explore nature as a child, which is why I now have a deep love for mountains, oceans, and all kinds of sports.

I’m a runner—I’ve completed two half-marathons in the past two years, which changed me a lot and gave me more energy every day.

I’m also a swimmer, a diver, and a solo hiker. Next year, I hope to learn mountaineering skills.

I love football, baseball, and skiing too.

Another passion of mine is history. I feel privileged to be Chinese because I can read thousands of years of history in my mother tongue and of course, it’s my culture. Relocating to Italy gave me another chance to learn about an ancient land and embrace its beauty.

I think now you know a little bit about me 🙂
